History:
The Belgrave Parish has mass centres at Monbulk, Belgrave, Emerald, Mt Dandenong and Gembrook, and two schools, one at Belgrave and St Paul's in Monbulk. The Parish Administrator is Father Geoff McIlroy. St Paul's School, Monbulk, was completed in February 1984 and was officially opened on 18 March by Bishop Perkins. The Sisters of St Joseph administered the school. Recently St. Paul's has added new classrooms and refurbished older rooms.
Description:
St Paul's is situated in the outer eastern suburb of Monbulk in the Dandenong Ranges. The school is close to the town in a picturesque setting with views of rolling hills and nearby Silvan Dam. The school consists of two main buildings housing administration, classrooms, a resource area and a library, and three portable classrooms. The grounds have asphalted netball and basketball courts, a sports oval, grass and tree–covered play areas and gardens, and two adventure playgrounds. The church is attached to the school and shares a large community-use foyer.
Students at St Paul's come from a wide area including Cockatoo, Avonsleigh, Emerald, The Patch, Kallista, Ferny Creek, Mt Dandenong, Olinda, Silvan, East Wandin and Monbulk. Many of the students' families live on farms and are involved in vegetable and fruit-growing, flower or plant nurseries, while others enjoy living in bushy hill settings.

St Paul's is a small school with a vibrant and engaging curriculum based on developmental and inquiry leaning. Specialist subject areas are Literacy Intervention, Music, Visual Arts, Languages - Italian, Physical Education and Music. There is an on-site after-school care program. Parents are an active part of the life of St Paul's. They are regular classroom helpers and involved in several levels of decision making.
