History:
St Elizabeth’s Parish School is an integral part of St Elizabeth’s Parish, Noble Park North. The parish was established in 1977 when the growth in the Catholic population of Dandenong North required the development of a second parish in the area.
The new parish was named St Elizabeth’s after Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, who recognised the presence of the Lord within Mary and was a person of warmth, openness and hospitality. It was the hope of the parish community at the time that having Elizabeth as its namesake would engender within the new parish the recognition of the presence of the Lord within each member of the community and that the parish would always be a place of warmth, openness and hospitality. Whilst named the Parish of Noble Park North, the postal address remains Dandenong North.
