History:

Genazzano FCJ College Ltd is a Catholic day and boarding school founded by the Sisters, Faithful Companions of Jesus. Established in 1889, Genazzano is an all-girls school from Prep to Year 12, with a coeducational Early Learning Centre. The College enrolment is approximately 1000 students. Genazzano is governed by a College Council appointed by the FCJ Education Board. The College Council appoints the Principal who will implement the vision and strategic directions of the College, supported by the College Executive Team and staff.


Description:

Genazzano FCJ College is a Catholic day and boarding school in Kew offering a coeducational Early Learning Centre and all-girls environment from Prep to Year 12. It offers students a holistic education that prepares them for the 21st Century as resilient, adaptable and confident women. Its Hopetoun Hall Boarding House in Camberwell caters for up to 40 girls and accepts students from Year 7 upwards; offering a welcoming community where girls are fully supported by a Director of Boarding, boarding staff and their peers.

In partnership with parents and carers, Genazzano creates a learning environment enriched by the traditions of the Catholic faith and Charism of the Society of the Faithful Companions of Jesus informed by Ignation spirituality, enabling intellectual pursuits to flourish in a climate of excellence, enquiry and discernment.
