We are seeking a passionate and vibrant graduate or new to the profession Performing Arts/Music teacher to join our innovative school in 2025 with the possibility of ongoing employment in 2026.Ìý
The successful applicant is required for Performing Arts/ Music 0.6, with optional 0.2 - 0.4 in the classroom.Ìý
The successful candidate will be able to:
• Demonstrate an ability to plan and implement a Performing Arts & Music Program from Prep to Year 6 (1 hour per week, per class).Ìý
• Demonstrate the capacity to support school events such as concerts, graduations and sacramental celebrations.
• Have strong classroom management skills and a talent for promoting positive student behaviour.
• Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and a willingness to be flexible.
• Demonstrate the capacity to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Complete a work program using the appropriate curriculum guidelines which outlines a weekly and day by day focus in the area of Music and Performing Arts
• Complete required evaluation, assessment and reporting as part of professional teaching routines.
• Attend staff meetings, PLTs and professional development activities.
• Work professionally and collaboratively with colleagues, parents and students modelling compassion, respect and inclusivity, which is in line with the school's Vision Statement and School Child Safety Policy.
• Uphold the AITSL professionalism standards for teachers and the VIT Code of Conduct.
