Role Description/Criteria
Mary Immaculate Primary School is a fabulous, small and growing school in the heart of Ivanhoe. As our School Vision states, we are 'a dynamic and caring community, committed to enacting our faith; inspiring, challenging and engaging lifelong learners'.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and motivated Learning Support Officer (LSO), who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs. The successful applicant will be required to work 18.75 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9.00am-3.30pm. The successful applicant will be be required to commence work February 2025.
The successful applicant will:
• be committed to the ethos and values of the Catholic school

• have the capacity and dispositions to work collaboratively with our teaching team
• be committed to ongoing professional learning and development
• contribute positively to our learning environment where all students are respected, engaged, supported and valued
• under the direction of the Learning Diversity Leader and classroom teachers, implement strategies and programs that effectively cater for a diverse range of learning needs.

Special Requirements
• current Working With Children Check and National Police Check
• Certificate III or higher in Education Support is preferred
• recent experience in working with young students with disabilities or diverse learning needs.
