Role Description/Criteria
St Bede’s isÌý seeking a dynamic and skilled teacher to join a staff of dedicated teachers in an ongoing full time position. The teaching position will alsoÌý include a POL position ofÌý Teaching and Learning or Literacy leader.
ÌýOur Leaders collaborate with and lead teachers to develop and implement evidence-based teaching practices. They will have demonstrated experience in leading teams across curriculum areas, in particular, Literacy, and Learning and Teaching a Knowledge Rich Curriculum.
The position will commence on 28th January 2025.
Applicants are asked to demonstrate experience in the following:
- an understanding and working knowledge of the Science of Learning and how this impacts student outcomes
- working collaboratively with staff to enhance their capacity to deliver evidence based teaching practices through teaching
- facilitating planning sessions and modelling implemented practicesÌý
- prepare and facilitate professional development for staff in line with the School Improvement Plan
- observing classroom instruction to provide feedback and determine next steps for teachers
- understanding Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) and the implementation of this to create safe and effective teaching and learning environments
- a willingness to participate in and teach French in our ‘Teachers as co-learners’ languages program
- a willingness to adhere to St Bede’s Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct and other policies relevant to Ministerial Order 1359
- build and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
- work flexibly and collaboratively within staff teams
- support the Catholic ethos of the school and teach the RE program
