St Mary of the Cross MacKillop Catholic Parish Primary School (SMCM), Epping North, is a faith filled, diverse and student centered learning community focused on evidence based learning, teaching and wellbeing practices to ensure the full flourishing of every child. 

With 570 students, our growing school is well resourced with new facilities, technology and a team of over 70 dedicated staff. Our modern and flexible learning spaces provide an environment for collaborative and targeted learning opportunities. The outdoor spaces embrace opportunities for nature play and include expansive play spaces.

Teachers have the opportunity to plan, collaborate and engage in professional learning with their team five hours each week, this ensures that your face-to-face teaching is purposeful and effective.

A team of dedicated, full time, curriculum leaders work collaboratively with teachers to support, model and develop learning and teaching practices in line with ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Vision for Instruction. Each learning space has the additional assistance of Learning Support Officers who work alongside teachers to meet student needs. It is a shared responsibility for student learning and wellbeing that is valued by all.

Requirements:

  • VIT registration
  • Accreditation to teach in Catholic School and/or committed to providing a Catholic education for all students
  • Committed to upholding the SMCM Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct
  • Dedicated to catering for the individual needs of students in a school wide positive behaviour for learning environment
  • Committed to building authentic relationships with all children, families and staff
  • Ability to provide a structured learning program that is engaging and student centered, while being informed by data, the curriculum and the Science of Learning
  • Willing to work collaboratively with others in a flexible learning environment
  • An active member of the school community, events and the life of the Parish
  • Committed to ongoing professional learning

This role will suit someone who is passionate, highly motivated, organised and has a willingness to work collaboratively in a team to engage all students.
