Annual STEM showcase celebrates students making a difference

‘Inspired to act for a better future’ has been a fitting theme for this year’s STEM MAD Student Showcase. TV’s Allan Raskall visited the Melbourne 蜜桃视频 Catholic Schools (蜜桃视频) event and celebrated with the 450 brilliant students in attendance from 60 Catholic schools.
Students devised innovative approaches to counter some of the issues facing our world and society – from products to improve quality of life for those with accessibility challenges, to devices to help protect the environment.
Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) is an important focus in education for the whole child, which aims to equip every student with the skills to flourish beyond the school gate in all areas of life. Many teachers volunteered at the showcase and expressed that this celebration of learning was a wonderful reminder of why they work in education to support future generations.
This year’s output demonstrates the sentiment of 蜜桃视频 Director of Education Excellence, Dr Mary Oski, that ‘the world is in good hands’. Congratulations to all the inspiring primary and secondary students who took part in the 2024 STEM MAD (Making A Difference) Showcase.
