Stations of the Cross
5 April 2023
As part of Holy Week as we head into Easter, students from Antonine College, Pascoe Vale South, walked the Stations of the Cross to get a better understanding of this significant time in the Catholic calendar.
The Year 6 students from the college’s Cedar Campus in Coburg East, together with Fr Richard, walked the Stations of the Cross at Our Lady of Lebanon Church. It was beautiful to see the students come together in prayer, reading aloud the events that took place at each station.
For some of our students, this was the first time they had walked the stations. It’s an important ritual in our Catholic faith that we acknowledge and commemorate the journey Jesus took from his condemnation to his death. Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for our salvation and to be able to listen to the events that took place is a spiritual blessing.
