A day for farmers

The community at , Brunswick North, brought a little bit of the country to the city for their first Farmers’ Day.
Organised by student leaders, the day aimed to provide some practical support in raising funds to assist the farming community through the current drought. As well as the fun of sack races and egg and spoon races, the school also raised awareness of the role farmers have in maintaining food supply.
Social Justice Captains Lana and Scarlett and Sustainability Captains Alexander and Ava spoke about their reasons for holding the day.
