Welcome back for Term 2, 2019
24 April 2019
Welcome back for the start of Term 2.
Anzac Day takes place this week and is a time when schools across Melbourne reflect on the important contribution made by Australian soldiers over 100 years ago.
In May, National Reconciliation Week 2019 will take place with the theme: Grounded in truth, walk together with courage. National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. For students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9, NAPLAN testing will also take place in May.
To mark the end of 50 days following Easter, Pentecost will take place on Sunday 9 June. Refugee Week will also be held in June with the 2019 theme: A world of stories.
