Year 12 students Natalie, Hannah and Hannah had over 20 cm of their hair cut and donated to Sustainable Salons, an organisation that makes wigs for people suffering from alopecia or medically induced hair loss.
As part of the Senior Student Leadership Team’s ‘12 Months of Empowerment’ initiative at , Aberfeldie, the girls cut over 20 cm of their hair for an important cause. It took place on Mission Action Day: an annual fundraising day to raise money and awareness for their sister school, St Maria Mazzarello, in Timor-Leste. Almost $2500 was raised for the school, which provides food technology and hospitality training for young women.
