ABOUT ST JOSEPH鈥橲:听
In 2025, the newly named Saints College* - Colac Campus, currently St Joseph鈥檚 School, is seeking experienced Teachers in a full-time and part-time capacity.听
Since 2012, we have led the way in radically inclusive education, supporting students with diverse challenges. We are an inclusive school for 12-25 year olds seeking an alternative to mainstream education. Our environment celebrates all abilities and backgrounds, providing transformative learning experiences catering to individual needs.听
We operate multiple campuses located in North Melbourne, Geelong, Colac, Ballarat, and a dual engagement virtual learning campus, BlendED. In 2025, we will expand our offerings with the opening of three new campuses in Fitzroy North, Sunshine, and Bungaree, as part of our growth strategy to establish additional campuses in the future.听
The young people we serve often face significant and complex educational, social, developmental, psychological, health, legal, or familial challenges, which demand unique interventions. Our approach is grounded in the Operation by Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices.听
ABOUT COLAC CAMPUS:听
Established as a full campus in 2022, the Colac campus plays a vital role in the St Joseph鈥檚 narrative, with its roots tracing back to students from the Colac community who were initially enrolled through the Geelong site. The dedication these young people demonstrated towards their education underscored the need for a campus within their community. At the Colac campus, we offer a comprehensive educational program, including the Victorian Curriculum for Years 7-10, the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC), a range of electives, the VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM), and Vocational Education and Training (VET) options.听
Colac itself is recognised as an excellent place to work, offering a supportive community, a range of recreational activities, and a blend of natural beauty and modern amenities. The Colac campus is characterised by a small, warm, and close-knit school community, fostering strong and trusting relationships among students and staff. St Joseph鈥檚 offers an inclusive and non-discriminating learning community to young people, who for a variety of reasons, make the choice to attend a specialised learning environment. St Joseph鈥檚 operates across multiple campuses, located in North Melbourne, Geelong, Colac, Ballarat, and a dual engagement virtual learning campus, BlendED. The young people who attend have typically experienced one or more significant and complex educational, social, developmental, psychological, health, legal or familial situations which demand unique responses. Such interventions are embedded within the Operation By Principles framework, which combine education with an understanding of trauma-informed practice.听
ABOUT THE ROLE:听
The Role:听
- We are looking for a full time Teacher based in the Colac area to join our team,听听
- You will be employed on an ongoing basis, commencing ASAP or Term 1 2025 and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022.听
You will need:听
- Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty.?听
- Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching?听
- Experience with online teaching highly advantageous??听
- Ability to plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs for young people in both middle and senior phases of secondary education.?听
- The ability to inspire and engage young people?听
- Be willing to support young people and our team members to reach their potential听
