Role Description/Criteria
Applicants will work in conjunction with the school’s existing Instructional Coach and Learning and Assessment Team to ensure all staff have access to targeted coaching opportunities. Our Instructional Coaches require knowledge of the Science of Learning and classroom teaching experience across a variety of year levels P - 6 that would enable them to confidently demonstrate evidence based teaching practices.

The position will initially be offered on a two year fixed-term beginning January 2025, with opportunity for renewal.Ìý
Applicants are asked to demonstrate experience in the following:
- an understanding and working knowledge of the Science of Learning and how this impacts student outcomes
- working collaboratively with staff to enhance their capacity to deliver evidence based teaching practices through instructional coaching
- observing classroom instruction to provide feedback and determine next steps for teachers
- preparing and co-facilitating professional development in line with the School Improvement Plan
- understanding Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) and the implementation of this to create safe and effective teaching and learning environments
Special requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years classroom teaching experience across various levels P - 6
- A high level understanding and implementation of evidence based teaching practicesÌý
- Further study or post graduate qualifications (or the commitment to further study)
